Previously, the party reached Murdaw's Keep. Carver has regained his true self, and the party has raided the keep for treasures. Now, it is time to confront the Dread Fiend himself.

After resuming, the party heads up the north-central stairway in the main hall (time 0:09). This leads to a long carpeted hallway. This is a perfect place to prepare for the upcoming showdown. Milly learns Kabuff at Level 18, and this is a great spell to have. I am going into this a little underleveled. Everyone should have some Amor Seco Essences for emergencies, and maybe an Yggdrasil Leaf, too. The Staff of Ghent will be indispensable for free healing.

At the door to the throne room, Milly will start some conversation (time 0:50). The party will discuss Murdaw and his bag of dirty tricks.

After the brief dialogue, the party heads north through the door to the throne room (time 2:06). Murdaw will ensnare them as he did before and attempt the same trick.

Again, Heorot wakes up at home in Weaver's Peak (time 3:11). What, do we have to start at the beginning again? Fortunately, this is not the case. Tania prompts Heorot to look into the strange mirror he had brought back with him, i.e. Ra's Mirror. Absolutely!

Heorot and the party will return to consciousness in Murdaw's throne room (time 4:14). Murdaw resolves to deal with the party more permanently this time.

After Murdaw summons some goons, the battle begins (time 4:58). The big green bully starts with a couple of Prickly Pranksters, which are simply annoyances. Murdaw can summon more allies when they fall. He can also deal damage to the whole party with fiery breath. When he shouts for his servants but the don't appear right away, a Harmour will appear in the next round instead of a Prickly Prankster.

Carver will be the main damage-dealer with his powerful Double Up ability. A warning about Double Up is that it will lower his defence and other resistances, though, so be ready to heal him. In a pinch, Nevan's main role is to keep the party healed with his staff and resurrect with Zing if needed. Milly should Buff or Kabuff the party and then do healing if needed. Otherwise, she can do fairly decent damage with her Cautery Sword. Heorot's Sap spell will not work well on Murdaw, so he should focus on attacking and backup healing. In all, your priority should be to survive this battle in decent condition and not use too much MP.

At the end of this battle, Nevan, the Ghentile Prodigy, reaches Level 14 (time 8:14). Multiheal, please? Sadly, no.

Afterward, Murdaw will bemoan his defeat (time 8:34). He powers up, and then the real battle begins (time 9:05). He is much nastier this time. He has a Chilly Breath attack that can do loads of damage to the entire party. He can lower the party's defence with Kasap. He can also use a lightning magic attack. It is not as damaging as Chilly Breath, but it does hit everyone. When his eyes gleam strangely, he can put a single party member to sleep. Annoyingly, he can also blind the whole party. Worst of all, he can act twice in a round!

This is the first serious boss battle of the game, so keep on your toes. Nevan is still best used for his healing abilities. Milly's Buff and Kabuff will help against Murdaw's rare physical attacks, but her main concern should be healing, as well. Carver's Double Up is the best source of offence, but it also leaves him more vulnerable to that powerful Chilly Breath, so look out. Heorot will need to do a lot more backup healing this time around. In fact, it might be better for him to have the Staff of Ghent, since he does not have Midheal. Further, everyone should have Amor Seco Essence in case of emergency. Unfortunately, there is no way to wake up sleeping allies yet.

When Murdaw is defeated, Carver, the Carpenter's Son, reaches Level 19 (time 15:01). Milly, the Mysterious Girl, reaches Level 17.

Another scene takes place after Murdaw's defeat (time 15:33). Finally, the big green monster is defeated. It is now time for the party to return.

Afterwards, the party is in King Somnus's throne room (time 16:20). The king thanks the party for their hard work and rewards them with a Lightning Staff. Then, Queen Apnea requests a word with Heorot in private. The party heads downstairs.

Description continued in the comments.
