Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded
Part 10: Hollow Bastion II Pt. 3
Difficulty: Critical
NOTE: Due to the combined length at roughly 2 hours & 30 minutes, this is going to be split into three parts. Count ‘em. THREE. PARTS.
We reach Part 3 and it’s here where Sora must now face his greatest opponent ever, himself. I’m not kidding.
This fight right here is a multi-phase fight. You first fight against a powered-up Darkside. He’s harder this time and depending on where you are can unleash either a fire or ice attack. He also has the ability to spew beams of light at you. When you drain his health enough, he’ll go under and deal a powerful attack that causes slow down. Dodge it then strike. Repeat until he does one final attack and then aim for his head.
Afterwards you face off against a Heartless version of Sora. This fight is 3-phases long and each phase makes the fight harder since he’ll summon clones of himself to make the fight unbearable. And yeah it gets real hard. Eventually once you beat him the third time, you get help from Mickey who uses his keyblade to separate the Darkside from the Heartless. Then you can defeat it and that’s it.
Completing this will net you the Zero/One keyblade. Afterwards, Riku returns to normal and the Journal is completely restored. One problem with that, it means that Sora’s memories of it will be wiped. It won’t matter to Mickey one bit because he won’t forget. The journal is wiped clean and we see Sora again. Mickey explains everything to him but now Sora heads to a new place and it sets in motion the events for the conclusion to Re: Coded.
In the final part, we go through Castle Oblivion and it’s here… where the hurt kicks in.
