Welcome! To Let's play #Kingdom: New Land game - gameplay – part 8. Island 4 should be marked as “painful to do” Honestly, island 4 in Kingdom New lands is the worse island soo far. Not only we are lacking animals here to hunt, the farming space to build farms at the be-ginning, we also don’t have a merchant hut!! In other words if You are leaving island 3 in Kingdoms New Lands just as I, take lot’s of knights with You along with a full sack of gold. You will needed it to even start some economy on the 4 island of New Lands.
Island 4 in my game in this episode didn’t had the merchant hunt, that means there is no way of making gold out of tin air. We also don’t have too many animals around our camp so the archers for the most of the time will run around doing nothing. As they won’t have anything to do. In order to get coins on Island 4 in Kingdom New Lands You could try to chop down trees to open the space and make rabbits bushes around Your castle walls. As those should spawn rabbits for the hunters to kill and get coin. But in a longer term this may not be to ef-fective in Kingdom. To the east I have found a good place for setting up basic defences. However I forgot about a nearby enemy portal and my archers instead of going hunting they went in to destroying the small Portal. In vanilla Kingdom and in Kingdom New lands destroying the portal always caused a big enemy wave to spawn and attack your castle. In New Lands tho the enemy spawns only from the big mountain portal that is located on one of the sides of the Island. The first attack that was trigger by destruction of the Portal was not that hard to deal with, but I had to move back to the starting camp of Island 4.
Island 4 in this part have a lot of farming space to the east and that is the point I want to se-cure first. As I move deeper in to enemy land I make sure to build walls next to rock piles s those will allow of building towers for the archers that will give them better aim at the enemy monsters. In Kingdom New lands there are a lot of new aspects in the game, for example Is-land four is the first island where we find the Farmer statue. I still don’t know what does the farmer statue do or how he does affect farms in Kingdom New Lands. Tho farming will be the key part of getting gold in Kingdom New lands on Island 4.
Make farms and make sure they are secured by wall and archers, upgrade then the farm in to a second level soo that the farmers won’t loose time in venturing back and forward from the camp and to the farming spot. Also there is nearby a archer shrine statue. It is important to buy the statue before red moons and before the destruction of the small Portals. Yes it will cost gold, it will make our supply of gold on island 4 even more tin but is better to spend four or eight coins on a statue then loose 8 archers along with the bows. The bows alone will cost more to buy again then the statue. Also if somehow You will manage to scare the deer in to the range of the archers, the deers will always run after first arrow hits them or they get too close to the archers. To kill Deers in Kingdom New lands its just better to buy the archer stat-ue and hunt all day!
