- To gain territory early on as your own kingdom, you have to make more
peace and waste denars instead of constantly fighting because if you
only fight a kingdom, they will always win in the end because they have
way superior numbers.
The only time you stop making peace and have an all out war is when a
kingdom has about equal strength as you or a little bit higher since
you AI normally has less valuable armies than the main player.
Keep in mind, strength of a kingdom = Lord Party sizes + Garrisons of towns
and castles.
- You can make peace with any lord of your enemy kingdom.
Run into any sized army and you can propose peace even if
you have 100 units and the enemy have 1500, you will still have
the option for peace.
- One way to gain land when your kingdom size is small is to form an
army with companions, go to a town you wish to take,
wait outside for a lord of that kingdom to exit and engage them,
once you defeat them, quickly go and besige the town,
build siege towers and ram and go in for the fight.
The siegeing process takes in game time, but the assault pauses
what happens on the map.
Once you take the town, disband your army(for faster speed,
find the nearest big enemy army, run towards it and make peace.
