King's Bounty was a game made in 1990 by New World Computing for the PC. It was ported to the Genesis in 1991 with a number of changes, but the same basic gameplay. It has been a favorite of mine since I first watched my father play it back in the day. This game later spawned the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, which operated off of some similar principles but in a much more RPG-sense.

The category for this speedrun, Progression%, requires that you capture every villain from each continent before touching foot on the next. This greatly reduces the RNG involved in the traditional 100% run, while still requiring a full clear of the game. The run ends after all puzzle pieces have been found and the Sceptre is located, initiating the end game sequence.
