King's Field IV - getting the cool sword & defeating evil goop (teddyras)
Yeah I love these kinds of games, these first person dungeon crawlers. Like I said at the end of the vod: I think I liked shadow tower abyss more, but kings field 4 was a great time, it's just slower and longer and more cryptic. Of course this game also does some real odd things like we discovered here at the end: what the hell is the craftsman even. It takes until like 60% of the way through the game to get to him, if you think to backtrack to where he might be, then you have to wait for like 10 minutes of real time for him to upgrade anything and also more real time waiting for repairs. It's insane. I guess they expect you to leave something with him and then go explore more and come back, but that's also a pain in the ass. I don't think they ever do anything like this again in other games, but holy moly that's some sicko shit lol. Overall I think this game is worth playing if you have interest in the genre at all, like you played lunacid or something and wanted more. But like I said, I think shadow tower abyss is the most fun I had in one of these kinds of games.
