King's Quest I: Quest for the Crown (Part 2): Exploration
Part 2 of 8, of a blind playthrough of King's Quest I. In this part, Sir Graham explores some more. He finds a dagger hidden under a rock, and he finds a cottage belonging to a poor woodcutter. He needs food, to help his sick wife, but Sir Graham's carrot is not enough to save her.
Sir Graham meets a troll, who demands to have jewels, in order to let Sir Graham pass to an area with a gnome that is similar to Rumplestilskin. Sadly, the troll's offer is for a limited time, and it demands extra money soon enough. Sir Graham reloads from an earlier save, to avoid this problem.
Sir Graham sees a candy house, but the witch inside quickly kills him. He finds a cave and a four-leaf clover. He dies, and someone claiming to be his fairy godmother appears. She casts a protection spell on Sir Graham, but since he has no idea what it protects from, the spell isn't much help.
