"Machine Gun" arguably covers a number of mature themes, which may include some or all of the following: betrayal, insanity, revenge, and possibly even murder. "When you're in my sights" doesn't follow exactly the same content and themes (Wyims is arguably a simple story of unrequited love)... but it was built upon the foundation of those lyrics, so please be aware that it is possible that some echoes of some of those themes may still remain in the new lyrics.
So... yay! My eighth lyrics video is done! =)
Short description:
"When you're in my sights" (Wyims) is basically the "Machine Gun" lyrics adapted into the "Ridin' With U" music... in kind of a "what if 'Machine Gun' were a love song" sort of way. =)
(Oh, and for those of you who aren't already familiar with MG and RWU, I've included links near the bottom of this description!)
Longer description:
I honestly hadn't intended to do another KIRA song.
But in the description for "U by my side", in the post-lyrics notes, while talking about where the self-identification line originated from... I foolishly wrote "Of course, most of MG probably wouldn't work well with a 'let's get away into the blue' sort of song..."
"Foolishly", that is, because of course, me being who I am, that got me thinking... wondering how much of MG actually could be adapted into RWU. ^^;
Anyway, long story short, that one careless comment resulted in quite a bit of work! But on the plus side... now we have this. =)
Of course, as usual, there are still one or two spots that could probably be polished up a bit more... but overall, I'm pretty happy with how these lyrics turned out... and hope you will be as well!

...and a couple bits of extra info. ^^
- It took me a while, but when I finally figured out "my heart beats like a machine gun when you're in my sights"... that was kind of the turning point of this project. That one phrase kind of focused the narrative in a way that made me realize that, yes... this was actually possible. =)
- At current time, RWU is probably my favorite KIRA song overall. I'm glad I got the chance to work on/with it like this... even though I hadn't originally been intending to. ^_^
