Kirby Squeak Squad: Part 53: Final Boss (Dark Nebula) & 100% Ending
After Kirby defeats Daroach one more time and yields a dark star from him, Kirby takes control of Daroach's Triple Star Cane and goes after the mysterious star of darkness.
The Triple Star is the ultimate ability of this game, similar to Adventure/Nightmare In Dream Land's Star Rod, and Amazing Mirror's Master. Triple Star can be used to solve any and all puzzles in the game with its Triple Star Shot.
You use this cane to chase it through a couple courses of enemies and obstacles, but this doesn't take long...
----------
When you get to the end, you finally face this evil star in its true form: Dark Nebula, ruler of the underworld. It is a being that may or may not have spawn from a previous entity Kirby has faced: Dark Matter. Looks like Dark Nebula was the being that Meta Knight was trying to keep sealed this entire time, but neither Daroach nor Kirby knew about this! Why didn't he tell them?!
Dark Nebula's primary attack is to shoot stars straight at Kirby, but it more preferably likes to change its form into one of 3 elements between Fire, Ice, and Lightning. Each of these forms come with their own unique attacks that must be dodged accordingly. It also likes to circle around the area in an attempt to bump right into you.
With all of that said, compared to other Kirby final bosses, this one is quite a pushover in comparison. It seems stuck on its Ice form in this video and never once uses its Spark form. Oh well...
----------
With Dark Nebula quickly vanquished, Kirby made a long return home to Planet Popstar, realizing why Meta Knight kept that treasure chest away from him seeing as how it sealed Dark Nebula. As for the Squeaks, the simply drifted elsewhere to look for more treasure.
But as Kirby was traveling home, one little thing still remained unclear to him...
Will he ever see his precious piece of strawberry shortcake again???
----------
Well... HE FINALLY WILL! And how did this happen? Because the cake was given to him by the Squeaks, themselves! They must've done it as an apology for how much trouble they gave Kirby, and this was there way of making amends with the Super Tuff Pink Puff.
So now, Kirby can finally chow down on the very thing that started this entire story to begin with! Bon appetit!
----------
The last two treasures of this game are the Boss Battle Badge of Dark Nebula, and the Strawberry Shortcake, itself. The last badge unlocks Boss Endurance, where you can fight all of the game's bosses in rapid session. Getting all 120 treasures in the entire game allows you to play Extra Mode, which is a time trial that tests how fast you can get these 120 treasures all over again.
----------
Thanks for watching! Eventually, I wanna take on the Boss Endurance, using every Copy Ability that I can in the game. Stay tuned for whenever I do that!
