Kirisame Blade - 3 Minute Attack - 136 Million run
2Shooting game? Looks like one, at least.
I probably won't do more PCB runs until next weekend. I decided to play Kirisame Blade. I don't know how to classify this. Its pretty much a caravan shmup without the shooting. Instead, you have to rely on the two laser swords around your ship. I'm pretty bad at horizontal shooters in general.
As far as scoring goes, all I got is that there is a chain you can maintain. It breaks if you die so ideally you want to stay alive. It does break if you don't touch anything with the swords, but I feel you have to try to do that for that to happen (at least in 3 minutes). There is a hyper mode, but the only thing that it gives is invincibility for the duration its used and more range from what I noticed anyway. Should be worth noting that holding the "shot" button is actually weaker than if you button mash it, but holding it is better for score as your multiplier goes up the more your blades touch any enemy that isn't popcorn.
I'm also not sure what the best approach to scoring is even after having some basic understanding of the mechanics. This was my best run, but its below the developer (I think) score. The best approach I have is to hyper to take advantage of the invincibility and just mash the "shot" button until I get my hyper back.
