Knucklotec is the guardian of the Binding Band and is encountered in the Sand Kingdom. During the battle, Knucklotec slams his fists down at Mario, creating shockwaves that can harm him. To defeat Knucklotec, Mario needs to use Cappy to capture one of Knucklotec's fists and guide it towards an icy patch on the ground. When the fist hits the ice, it will become frozen, and Mario can then capture it and use it to punch Knucklotec in the face. After being hit, Knucklotec will send his fists rocketing towards Mario, which he needs to avoid. Mario must repeat this process twice to defeat Knucklotec.

In later fights, Chinchos, which are small, electrically charged creatures, will be present on the battlefield, making the fight more challenging. Mario needs to avoid the Chinchos while also dodging Knucklotec's attacks and hitting his weak point. The battle can be quite difficult, but with good timing and strategy, Mario can emerge victorious and obtain the Binding Band
