Pepine Jamane isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the box and his colleagues act superior even by gnome standards. Nevertheless I offer to help them by going into Undersea Fasting to assist Pepine with retrieving a valuable gnome book called the Tome of Contrition.

Afterwards I check out my fully restored keep and continue with a few ongoing activities including Scattered Fragments, Scouting Mission, Translations, Gravehal Paintings and new faction quest Diplomacy. Diplomacy is unlocked by finishing the keep upgrades and is similar to Scouting Mission. You send diplomat Myfa Rhonwen to different settlements and she comes back with various rewards. This can eventually lead to you getting married if you play your cards right.

I also find a great talisman called Fury with some great buffs including 75% chance to shock enemies when attacked. I was ready to equip it until I realised that my extra +1 finesse bonus from the Trailblazer twist of fate was no longer active. Trailblazer only seems to apply in the Teeth of Naros unfortunately. I would have downgraded +3 finesse to +2 for the sake of the shield but I didn't want to downgrade +2 to +1 so I stuck with the Eye of Lupoku.
