King of Fighters: Maximum Impact:
KOF: Maximum Impact (KOFMI) is a fighting game developed by SNK subsidiary Noise Factory and published by SNK Playmore for the PlayStation 2 in 2004. An enhanced version was released for both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 under the title KOF Maximum Impact: Maniax. The PS2 version of 'Maniax' was only released in Japan.
Marketed as a spin-off of SNK's major fighting series The King of Fighters, whence many of its characters originate, KOF: Maximum Impact also contains elements of the Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting series. KOF: Maximum Impact is the first 3D fighter made by SNK since 1990s era's Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition and lastly, Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage for the PlayStation. The game was followed by KOF: Maximum Impact 2.
King of Fighters: Regulation A:
KOF Maximum Impact Regulation "A" (KOFケーオーエフ マキシマムインパクト レギュレーション "Aエー") is a fighting game developed by SNK Playmore. It is an upgrade to KOF: Maximum Impact 2 and a game of the KOF: Maximum Impact series.
It was released for the Taito Type-X2 arcade system in July 2008. It is the only arcade release made for the KOF: MI series. It adds the classic 3 on 3 game play from the 2D KOF series with the hopes of winning over the series' fanbase as well as new players. The game was also released for the PlayStation 2 only in Japan on July 26, 2008.
Several stages as well as the story and challenge modes from Maximum Impact 2 have been removed. In addition, all of the characters have lost half of their outfits in both normal and alternate types. Armor Ralf was removed from the roster due to him overpowering the rest of the casts. Some new music, including songs from the original Maximum Impact and Sengoku 3, have been added, in addition to new alternate versions of stages and a new level for Makoto Mizoguchi.
King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 2:
KOF: Maximum Impact 2 (KOFMI2), released in North America as The King of Fighters 2006 (KOF 2006, or KOF '06), is a 3D fighting game produced by SNK Playmore and released for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. It was also released for the arcade under the title The King of Fighters 2006: Regulation A. It is the sequel to KOF: Maximum Impact, which itself was a spinoff of The King of Fighters series.
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum:
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (Japanese: ネオジオバトルコロシアム, Hepburn: Neojio Batoru Koroshiamu), abbreviated NGBC or NBC, is a 2-on-2 tag team fighting game designed for the Atomiswave arcade board developed and released by SNK in 2005. The game features characters from several SNK and ADK titles. Subsequently, a PlayStation 2 version of the game was released in Japan, North America, and Europe. The Xbox Live Arcade version was released worldwide on June 9, 2010. In 2020, a homebrew conversion was released for the Dreamcast.
