The ultimate monster grudge match is coming! The long-awaited Godzilla Vs. Kong movie is coming in 2021 and it has a surprise! It is coming to literally every single one of our households the same day as it hits in theatres! Well...every one of us who pays for HBO Max, that is. Now that we all know that we can safely watch the film from the comfort of our own pajamas, it’s time to get that hype train moving!

The Monsterverse with King Kong and Godzilla has been building for years. Godzilla and Godzilla: King of the Monsters both introduced us to the most terrifying version of the character since Ishirō Honda’s 1954 original. We’ve watched this towering, inferno-breathing beast take down all sorts of monsters, culminating with King Ghidorah.

On the other hand, we have the latest great ape from Kong: Skull Island who, despite bringing the thrills, doesn’t really bring the size. So how exactly is this going to be a fight worthy of the two toughest movie monsters of all time! Luckily the filmmakers have shed a little light on this issue with promotional materials and teasers. We now know that not everything has stayed the same from the first three movies. Kong definitely has some surprises to show us! Will they be enough to take on the creature who was just literally crowned the King of the Monsters?!
