A slightly different kind of playthrough in which I do a challenge run I've planned on doing for a while now... and yes, it's for another Sonic game

-- ENCORELOCKE CHALLENGE RULES --

Run starts at Green Hill Zone Act 1, where you start with Sonic and either Mighty or Ray

1. If a character dies, they don't come back. If you accidentally get them back, don't use them/kill them ASAP
2. You can unlock one character per zone
3. You can revive characters using Chaos Emeralds, making up to 7 potential revives. Like unlocking, you can revive one character per zone. If you revived, you can't use Super Forms if you collect all seven Emeralds. EXTRA CHALLENGE: You can't use Super Forms at all
4. You can get each type of shield once per zone; if you lose it, you can't get it until the next zone. Like accidentally re-unlocking characters, if you accidentally get a shield you lost again, lose it ASAP
5. Continues are allowed, but you can only continue with your last remaining character
