In this lecture we discussed the detailed mechanism of Krebs cycle which is also called Citric acid cycle or TCA cycle. There is reasons to call it Tricarboxylic acid cycle.
Krebs cycle is discussed step by step and how to memorize the steps of Krebs cycle is also discussed here.
Krebs cycle starts with reaction of acetyl CoA and Oxaloacetate to form Citrate. Then Isocitrate , ketoglutarate, succinyl coA , succinate, fumarate and malate are discussed step by step.
The structural explanation is given for Krebs cycle. Each step is explained with proper structures.
