Today in this lecture we are going to learn about Stahl and Meselson experiment on E.coli to confirm to semi conservative model of DNA replication. The model was proposed by Watson and crick in 1953 and later on confirmed by Stahl and Meselson in 1958 via an experiment called Stahl and Meselson experiment. The experiment is based on density gradient ultra centrifugation technique. Later on stahl and Meselson were awarded with Noble Prize for this amazing experiment.
