Kremlin Tour: Putin and Xi Jinping Chat Over Tea After Walking Historic Halls | APT
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping enjoyed a guided tour of the Kremlin on Thursday, taking in the historic sights before sitting down for a cup of tea. The footage shows the two leaders listening to a tour guide and walking through the iconic halls of the Kremlin, discussing moments of Russian history. After the tour, they relaxed over tea, further cementing the growing diplomatic ties between their countries.
Earlier in the day, the two leaders held high-level talks, signing a joint statement to strengthen their comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation. Xi’s visit comes just ahead of Russia's grand Victory Day celebrations, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, or the Great Patriotic War as it’s known in Russia. As part of the May 9 festivities, Moscow will host an iconic Victory Parade, with military troops from 13 countries, including China, marching through Red Square.
Despite external pressure from Kyiv and Western nations to cancel their Moscow visits, more than 30 leaders from CIS, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, including Xi, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, are in Moscow for the commemorations.
