Kristen Stewart & Garrett Hedlund - On the Road Interview with Tribute at TIFF 2012
"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart and "TRON: Legacy" star Garrett Hedlund discuss the inspiration for their latest film, "On the Road," at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
Stewart landed herself a new role in Walter Salles' film, portraying a much more open and carefree character than she previously has, while Hedlund once again displays his talent taking on the role of Dean Moriarty. Based loosely on the real-life story of Jack Kerouac and his novel, "On The Road," Stewart, Hedlund and the rest of the cast are dropped in the middle of the Beat Generation of the 1950s, which was said to be inspired by jazz and poetry. The group of friends overcome a range of obstacles while travelling throughout the U.S. in search of a way to express their free spirits.
Stewart, who is almost always associated with her Twilight persona, Bella Swan, also discusses her passion for acting and how she knew it's always what she was meant to do.
