F-15 STOL/MTD (Short Takeoff and Landing/Maneuver Technology Demonstrator)
The F-15 ACTIVE is the only F-15 in the world that has canards and true 3-dimensional thrust vectoring nozzles at the back of its engines. The stabilator canards give extra control in high AoA and post stall maneuvers while more impressively having true 3d thrust vectoring, something, not even the SU-37 has with its axisymmetrical 2d nozzles. With extreme Pitch and yaw controllability, it's the closest real-life example to the KSP engines' level of gimbaling in a real-life fighter jet. Because of costs, maintenance, and reliability issues the ACTIVE's nozzles were never made past the prototype despite its awesome capabilities.
This build was made based on an existing F-15 craft file I made over a year ago, albeit it didn't matter much since most of the original jet was scrapped anyway. The video was actually the second time I built the active since the first craft file got corrupted and was lost the day before.
