We caught up with Tangrin Entertainment's Victor Legerstee to learn more about the interesting, upcoming action-RPG Kyn.

The game features an interesting and rather unique set up where you independently move a group of characters in real-time, but you can also slow time down to set up your attacks or abilities.

"It sort of plays like a hack n' slasher, but we can slow it down, because you control multiple characters and it's quite hard for most players to control up to six characters at the same time so that sometimes you need some time to think how you're going to approach a certain group of enemies."

Legerstee explained how some player approached this a little recklessly moving in real-time until their health was really low, while others would move slowly and strategically and pause the game a lot.

"It's up to the player to play in their style. We're not going to tell you how to play this game, very fast or very slow, but it's up to the player to decide I want to play it more slowly and take less risk or if they want to play very risky, very fast and once I'm in over my head I can pause anyway and take some more time to take my decision."

Kyn is being targeted for release early next year on PC and Mac.
