L Tries The Kingsport Cases (PROJECT CANCELLED)
EDIT 06/06/2013 - At the 48 hours remaining mark the developers self funded the remaining money. Kickstarter's response was to kick them off the site and prevent them from getting the money so this project has been cancelled. I'll leave the video up.
As to what I think of the self funding move, I'll be honest. I wasn't comfortable with the idea and stopped backing the project after they self funded the remaining 8K. I get that they wanted this to succeed but I'm not sure what was preventing them from doing more advertising and work and trying a second kickstarter three months down the line or something. I don't know.
...
With less than two days to go, I stumble across a kickstarter about a Lovecraftian themed game that is procedurally generated in both level design and plot. It sounded right up my alley so here's a video to try and generate interest, if not for this kickstarter then for if they retry it. I'm not sure why in this case there was no love for Lovecraft; normally any Kickstarter project with Cthullu is quickly funded.
Currently the graphics need work but the premise seems promising. Give it a go yourself, there's a link to the demo on the Kickstarter page.
