Now before we get too far off I want to pay respect, love, and forgiveness to a relative of mine that passed last week from covid-19.

My uncle Gabriel, was retired from the army. I'm not entirely sure what his work was but I know he was very smart and had a firm understanding of math and physics. I remember one visit when I was a teenager, he would brag that he invented or reinvented synthetic division.

he told me that there was some math problem that the teacher had and my uncle took it home and over the weekend worked out a solution. When he came back to school the teacher was like “you reinvented synthetic division” he was so proud of that. One of the last times I talked to him a few years ago he explained part of his job was standardizing units of measurement such as a meter to a specific wavelength of light I think I didn't even mention that the part of the problem they were focusing on with standardizing Mass I think I don't even know what that is; that's way above my paygrade
