This team is far from a budget team, but it *is* effective! With Surf added to its movepool this season, Lanturn has become a staple of the Great League Meta. And with this season being the debut of the first themed Ultra League cup, Lanturn once again shines! A nice core of Kingdra/Tentacruel in the back helps round out this team that brought me to Expert this season.

For anyone curious, here are the IVs and levels of the team I use in the video:

Lanturn: 15/15/15 level 51.0
Tentacruel: 15/14/14 Lucky level 42.5
Kingdra: 3/12/14 level 41.0

A bulkier Tentacruel build is definitely preferred, but I didn't have the XL candies to fully commit to building a level 50, so I went for a "budget" option. You definitely suffer from lack of bulk in the Cradily matchup since a bulkier Tentacruel can easily tank two moves from Cradily, but most of the other matchups seem similar enough where it didn't hurt too much.
