DE's phobia of making weapons powerful has culminated in the Larkspur Prime, sporting single digit boosts to crit and crit damage and nothing else. An already weak archgun, the minor buffs make it deal similar damage while offering nothing new.

The Phantasma Prime was the most recent example of this behavior, as DE thought the normal phantasma was too powerful so the prime, rather than getting a new feature or mechanic to make it stand out, simply gained crit buffs that makes it perform similarly to the normal, and requires wasting 2 mod slots to build for crit while the normal weapon doesn't have to.
