2Layer Section is a vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up developed by Taito and released for arcades in 1995 under the name RayForce. The Sega Saturn port, released the same year, was renamed Layer Section in Japan and later released in North America and Europe as Galactic Attack.
The game was well received for its engaging mechanics and smooth gameplay. It is still considered one of the best vertical shooters on the Sega Saturn.
