LAYERS OF FEAR 2 - MAIN PATH PUZZLE GUIDE

ACT 1 - THE UNMOORING

1. LOCKED GATE - Random code, just look up at the ceiling, there's a crack with the code behind it. If you don't do that, just roll the numbers on the lock until you hear a faint click, that's the right number.

2. TURNING FURNITURE - Hit the switch, then past through the room and find a lever and a button. The objective here is to put the floating chair on the white outline by pushing the button. You'll need to be very precise for this to work, but it's simple otherwise.

3. SAFE PUZZLE - This one SHOULD BE easy, but it's kind of a confusing pain. The game throws the solution at you multiple times for some reason (three times!) but it's simple. Whatever code you get (it's random) you need to input the code on the safe, going CLOCKWISE, COUNTERCLOCKWISE, CLOCKWISE, just like any radial lock.

The trick here is that you have to STOP at each number.

That's the important thing, to turn to a number then RELEASE, then start turning again. That's what you have to do to get this puzzle to work.

4. FILM PUZZLE - Simple, just cycle through the film photos until you find one with a door. Then approach the screen and use the door!

ACT 2 - THE HUNT


1. POWER PUZZLE - Unplug the power from the wall, then take the plug to the other available plug. Then hit the switch!

2. FILM PUZZLE 2 - This time, cycle the projector until you see a picture with tons of keys on it. When you do that, a key will appear on the small table beside the projector. Pick it up, THEN change the projector to the door. Now with the key in hand, you can open it!

3. MATCH PUZZLE - Press the two buttons to adjust the weird image to align.

4. ADDITION PUZZLE - Turn the hand to numbers on the clock. Press at a number to add it to the little counter to the left. It's just basic addition. If you go over, then it resets. You'll need to do it 3 times; I don't know if it's random what numbers you need to match, but the 3 I got are: 8, 38, 70.

5. FILM PUZZLE 3 - Just shift around the photos until you get one with a grate over the boy's face. This one is interesting, because if you stop at the mangled face image, eventually it'll turn black and kill you, so don't do that.

6. ELECTRIC BATHTUB - Grab the electric cable off the wall and throw it in the bathtub!

ACT 3 - BLOODY ROOTS

1. GOT A STEW GOIN' - You'll need to collect 3 items to put into the stew pot. They're not hard to find, 1 is in the room directly in front of you, and the other 2 are in rooms to the left and right of that room. It might seem dangerous but nothing in this section can hurt you, so just grab the items and return to the kitchen.

2. ACE UP HIS SLEEVE - This one is a little odd, but it's not difficult. One of the mannequins wants an ACE, so find him one. First, you'll need to get the necklace from the briefcase beside the top hat wearing mannequin. Take the vampire mouth paper from the statue and put it on the dummy above the bed. Then put the necklace on the necklace display statue. Do all of that, and you can interact with the house of cards to get an ACE.

3. Building a rocket - There's 3 pieces of rocket hidden around the room. 1 right in front of the rocket display, 1 in the fireplace, and 1 behind the rocket display with the piles of junk. Now plug in the loose plug into the wall and insert the 3 rocket pieces to continue.

ACT 4 - BREATHE

1. KITCHEN KONFUSION - This is a weird optical effect puzzle that comes out of nowhere. Just look for a wall that's completely black, as if a door could fit there, then move back and forth around a puzzle until a pathway reveals itself.

2. FILM PUZZLE 3 - It's not really a film puzzle, it's more of a record puzzle. Just turn the record player crank until a door appears.

3. WHITE ROOM - A gate will rise up and block your way. Just go back into the previous room and find stuff to interact with. Touch them and the room will begin to deteriorate. Just keep finding that stuff until the gate disappears.

4. FILM PUZZLE 4 - This one you'll want to find an image with a ghostly lighthouse on it. Just approach the screen and you'll move on to the next area.

5. TV X-RAY PUZZLE - There's 2 paintings, one with a red face, one with a white face. Each one has a certain X-Ray superimposed over it. Just switch the TV next to each picture to match the X-Ray on them, and you'll be good. Oh, and open the rat cage.
