Characters
- Lord Anton Greycastle (Joe), Human Battlemaster Fighter, Waterdhavian Noble (House Greycastle) background. Delt with shipping on the docks and knows of the Luskan ships. Yagra is Anton's special lady friend.

X Greek “Banjo” Wilkerson (Jerry), Tiefling Bard, came from the outer ward of Watdeeep. Trying to build some crazy stringed instrument that's a mixture of a lute and a tamberine.

- John the Grizzled (Jay), Dwarf Arcane Cleric, deals in lore. Dirty and not real socialable. Knows that something from the nine hells is going on in Watedeep.

- Arannis (Bryan), Drow Pact of the Fiend Warlock, he knows little of his patron but came to Waterdeep because of the pull of the pact. Patron is named Izikul, a devil who collects proteges for her master (Azmodeus).

X Agarin (Pat), Human Rogue Investigator. Former member of the city watch. Too old for this shit. Sort of kicked out of the city watch. Stole a draconic chamberpot. Secretly working for the Masked Lords.

Strong Start
The mind flayer leaves. Perhaps a psychic blast. Leaves his Intellect Devourer behind. Floon grabs a weapon from a downed guard when able and fights as a scout.

Scenes
- Sewer Boss Fight
- Escape from the sewers.
- Q9 - very old and unused. Cool devil worship symbols?
- Return to the Yawning Portal. Volo, Floon, Raenar all have a drink.
- Volo's deed to the Trollskull Manor!
- Flying snakes (4) and giant bat!
- Begin Chapter 2
- The warehouse that the characters explored burns down.

Secrets
- The escape hall beneath the Peabody's house hasn't been used in a century. Very old and fiendish.
- Hell is bleeding into Waterdeep like water bleeds from cracks in a cellar.
- Someone somewhere is committing terrible atrocities to bring hell so close.
- The Xanathar has his attention on Floon and Raenar for a big reason. He does not waste his attention on trivial matters.
- Other spies are keeping an eye on Raenar. They disappear when approached.
- It would seem that the Blackstaff has re-enabled the Grey Hands, her own network of spies and investigators. She is worried as well.
- Many believe the current Blackstaff is too young to understand the political subtlties of Waterdeep's merchants, nobles, the masked lords, and the Open Lord. They expect her to blunder.
- Someone was covering the tracks of whoever leased the warehouse and what was inside.
- Two years ago the warehouse was paid for by the Gralhund family.
- The walking statues weren't always visible. That only happened recently. Only the Blackstaff can control them and she has sworn not to. Doing so could destroy the city. What is more dangerous than that?
