# Tomb of Annihilation Game Prep Notes: Fane of the Night Serpent

## Who are the characters?
- Smoke - Tabaxi Ranger / Rogue (ask about backstory) - Connect something to Smoke (Smoke knows Bag of Nails, Hooded Lantern, and Copper Bell)
- Gabriel / Tharmond - Asimar Celestial Warlock / bard. Died and has a different soul. Dreams of the soul monger.
- Punchy - Kenku Samurai who wants to fly. Touched by Acererak. Connected to Zuggtmoy. Possesses an idol of Zuggtmoy.
X Warryn - Gnome druid who wants to be a big beast.
- Ogechi - Shadow magic human sorcerer / warlock tied to the Eshowdow. Key to the door to the Night Serpent. Connected Fenthasa the Night Speaker.
X Huitzillin - Paladin of Ubtao. Who wants to smite false gods.
- Pommel - Paladin who is hunting the Red Wizards of Thay.

## What secrets and clues might the characters uncover?
- Punchy's insides are now plant stuff.
- Thee night hags known as the Sewn Sisters are the nursemaids for Acererak's ward.
- Withers is the majordomo for the Tomb of the Nine Gods and serves Acererak directly.
- The Soul Monger is feeding a being Acereak found in the depths of the Astral Sea.
- Szass Tam wants to know how the Soul Monger works but he also wants it destroyed.
- Many adventurers have made their way into the Tomb of the Nine Gods but none have ever come out.
- Acererak's tombs tend to use whatever goes into them, even the bodies of those who have fallen.
- Vanlindra keeps the cubes she has recovered in a small box on her desk in her tent.
- Valindra is protected by a sworn protector, a champion named Arana Glorycleaver
- Most of the Red Wizard forces have been destroyed.
- The Red Wizards have a mercenary company called the Grave Kin.
