With the release of Halo: Infinite's Season 4 Infection, we could see only a small bump in player numbers on Steam. Not it seems like 343 Industries and Microsoft consider Halo officially dead. Microsoft doesn’t consider it ‘flagship’ anymore. If this leak can be believed, then the next Halo game will be the last Halo game if it doesn't meet expectations. It will have less than half the budget of Halo: Infinite and presumably be created by a smaller team. Going back to the roots of Halo 2 and 3. Another piece of news is that The Master Chief Collection is dead. Official end of dev cycle announcement will be made, but apparently there's no date on this yet. So there's a lot to discuss.
