Leap Motion Review & Testing on Win & Mac
Unboxing, reviewing and testing the long waited Leap Motion on windows 7 and macintosh. I had some issues setting up "Touchless" app for windows, seems like you need to have "Tablet PC Input Service" running in order for it to work properly.
Update: i've been using it for about 12h by now (in total) and i have to say, it can easily be mouse replacement, it just needs better app. I kind a like to use it for simple clicking and browsing youtube, very comfy and easy.
We tested it on Win and Mac, it seem to be working a lot better on Mac, which is quite obvious actually, cuz it's made by Apple (if im correct). However im sure there will be loads of apps coming for windows that makes it a lot better to use, i would really like to see "better touch tool" for windows, so much i could do with it (pause movie, volume control, minimize, maximize, forward / back ..etc).
It gets quite hot actually and it can do about 215fps. In Leap's control panel it shows the FPS it is detecting movements on, if you set it on high speed then 214.9 or something like that is max, in precision mode it is around 50fps and in balanced about 100.
Here's a forum discussion about Leap Motion and explanation on how to get Touchless to work properly on windows 7

NOTE - it does work in photoshop, you must start off the canvas to use tools.
