LEATHERFACE: Shadow of Massacre puts you in the roles or Leatherface and his victims and essentially allows you to act out your own horror movie. In some scenes you’ll control a survivor as they attempt escape away from Leatherface and in other scenes you’ll play the maniacal Leatherface himself, chasing after his victims and revving hs trademark chainsaw.
LEATHERFACE: Shadow of Massacre is a pretty linear experience and it borrows assets from other games (most notably Dead by Daylight), but it’s very well put together and nails the vibe of Tobe Hooper’s classic movie. It’s a very cinematic experience and switching the gameplay between the victims and Leatherface is a particularly nice touch as it allows you to feel what it’s like to be on both ends of the chainsaw. Highly recommended.
