Some of the useful tricks that can be done by going idle. To do this quickly, bind a key on your keyboard to go idle.
For example, typing:

bind "H" "go_away_from_keyboard"

into the console will make you go idle whenever you press the H key.

1. You can remove the blinding effect of Boomer Bile.
2. You can negate the damage taken by Chargers when they are slamming you into the ground.
3. You can set a Witch on fire with a Molotov and not startle her. (This works on Tanks too but you have to stay idle).
4. You can reset the melee fatigue completely and shove faster.
5. You can reset the timer on placing sprays so you can spray continuously.
6. You can trick bots into throwing grenades.
7. You can reload faster by going idle right after starting a reload.
