Lloyd isn't all that bad.

He always starts off with his most powerful attack, so just have your characters block if they get a turn before him, and that'll halve the damage right there.

He uses the attack again at red health when he's basically one hit from death (I'm guessing it's programmed so he'll survive any attack with some amount of HP no matter how much it does, then immediately counter with his uber attack regardless of whether it's supposed to be his turn or not) so make sure you have enough HP left to weather it. You won't have to heal after, just finish him off.

Speed Down is kind of iffy here, seemingly working sometimes and not others (I've fought several battles with him where the only attacks he used were his two specials and a single sword combo, while other times it ends up more like this). Equip Bandit's Rings and Dancer's Shoes on as many of your characters as possible, just in case. -
