Welcome! In this walkthrough, I show you how to beat one of my childhood favorite games: Link's Awakening! Specifically, this walkthrough is for the DX version, which was a color upgrade with a bonus dungeon and several small changes but it will work with the original as well. The game deviates from the standard Zelda as it does not take place in Hyrule and has quite a few Mario cameos (as well as a few platformer sections). However, the game is still a blast to play through.

This walkthrough will show you how to beat all 8 dungeons (including the optional color dungeon) as well as finding all 12 heart pieces and 26 secret seashells (the last six turn into 20 rupee chests or disappear completely).

In part 9, we head back to Mabe Village to get the directions in the Wind Fish's dungeon (which is random so check yours before heading off). We then take down the Nightmare and awaken the Wind Fish at last.
