Welcome! In this walkthrough, I show you how to beat one of my childhood favorite games: Link's Awakening! Specifically, this walkthrough is for the DX version, which was a color upgrade with a bonus dungeon and several small changes but it will work with the original as well. The game deviates from the standard Zelda as it does not take place in Hyrule and has quite a few Mario cameos (as well as a few platformer sections). However, the game is still a blast to play through.

This walkthrough will show you how to beat all 8 dungeons (including the optional color dungeon) as well as finding all 12 heart pieces and 26 secret seashells (the last six turn into 20 rupee chests or disappear completely).

In part 3, we get a few things from the shop, start the album sidequest and take on Key Cavern, the game's third dungeon. Two things to remember for this sidequest:

1. There are 13 total pictures but you can only get 12. When talking to the photographer, you can let him take your picture or you can say no. Which photo you get depends on which answer you choose.

2. In order to get all the photographs, you will need to steal something from the shop. This will change your in game name to THIEF and when you return to the shop, you will be killed, which will bar you from getting the good ending. It's up to you if you want to get this one as there is no reward for completing the sidequest.
