Seemingly out of nowhere, The Light Brigade has emerged like a new challenger in Smash Bros. lol

Honestly, this game is some peak VR interactivity and action, and doesn't even come close to undelivering. I was in the beta for this game and it was updated so many times throughout that period of a couple weeks that it's super clear t me how committed and hard working the team is behind this. If you want a great new VR game to play, look no further, for real.

This game may need a bit of polish here and there, but still very nice to see such an atmospheric game in VR like this with no bugs I've run into thus far. The overall gameplay works quite well.

As update a few days later, I'll admit that it does bother me more and more that I can't run while holding the gun with two hands. The locomotion options being expanded would actually make me come back to this game a lot more often.

The second boss that I've made it to now was actually pretty dull, just running around flipping switches and teleporting with weird distances, but I could see them making the boss more fun if they maybe just made some staircases around and took away some cover. Felt a bit too safe for the entire time, versus the boss fight shown in this video where I had my heartrate up throughout.

I'll also admit that the game needs a better tutorial or explanation of things in-game. I still don't know what "Bless" or "Twilight Stack" is, as it doesn't really say at all, among other things that took a while to figure out. I'm still not even 100% sure what the praying is useful for.

Still, this isn't to bash the game too much, but just to air out my grievances since nothing can really get better unless you mention the things you yourself would change. The team seems pretty committed to updates and fixes, so I wouldn't call these reasons not to buy, but more so just reasons to know what you're getting into.
