It is launch night for Tears of the Kingdom and I just got home from GameStop! In my first session we begin the opening scene with Princess Zelda and Link exploring the dark caves "Beneath Hyrule Castle". During our exploration, we find Zonai carvings and Murals and a depiction of a mysterious "Demon King".
We subsequently wake up in a cave to find ourselves in the classic Legend of Zelda situation: Link without a weapon or tunic and Princess Zelda missing. Shortly after we find our way out of the cave and literally dive into the "Great Sky Island" & the opening credits.
We receive the Purah Pad that Zelda has left for us, meet Rauru, then head for our first shrine the "Ukouh" Shrine where we pick up the "Ultrahand" ability. Afterward, I make our way to the "In-Isa" Shrine where we pick up the fuse ability before ending our first session.
