This is the third episode of my series, “Legend of Zelda: The Psychology and Philosophy”. In this episode, I focus more on the hero's journey inward, Link's allies and guides, and the relationship between nostalgia, introspection, soul searching and the suspension of disbelief. I also talk about the terrain, locations and races of Hyrule (especially the forest areas and the Dark Worlds/Sacred Realm). The main theme of this chapter is psychological and (potentially) spiritual rebirth as well as progression vs regression.
