I've used to play Hearthstone longer time ago. Legends of Runeterra reminds me of it and I enjoy the game. Quick introduction to few main features:

- Players alter in attack every turn. (The player with the attack icon can attack that turn.)
- Up to three mana points can be saved each round to use for spells only in the next round.
- There are 3 card types: champions, units and spells.
- Champions are leveled up automatically when the condition is met (different for each champion).

The game is f2p friendly. You don't level up cards. You only collect copies of them (max 3 copies of a card). You can buy cards but you don't need to. Instead, you can craft them. Crafting a specific deck of your choice is very easy and you don't need to play the game for long to be able to do that. What you can spend your money on (if you desire) are cosmetics - boards (arenas), card backs, emotes etc.
