I didn't think it could be done but this latest patch saved LOR as a strategic competitive game.

While it's true that the game is always competitive the strategic element can vary wildly depending on the relative strength of certain tactics.

The 50/50 present previously where you would get blown out turn 1 by lurk or turn 2 by Samara was anti fun

It was binary and it was enough for me to leave the game, essentially dividing things into a coin toss where regardless of your deck type the answer was open attack spam.

Now open attack spam is highly punishable, and that's how the game should be.

It should always be a hard call, develop or attack, not attack attack attack every game without thinking and having that somehow be a valid path to sucess...it was and now it isn't
