As of the end of this segment I'm calling off finishing this build as it is, because of an issue with the building system that has gotten worse the longer I've spent on it - pieces are getting more and more misaligned to the point stuff that should be placeable throws 'An object is in the way' errors.

I have a hypothesis as to why this is happening (floating point & Nth generation drift) and may (or may not) start a fresh run rebuilding the exact same design from the ground up with some changes to try to minimize N across the build. But that's potentially hours sunk into a fool's errand. Maybe I'll pick it up again instead if/when LEGO Fortnite specifically says they've managed to nail this issue, but I do feel that with the current state of the game and its survival mode the team probably has way more pressing issues to want to attend to right now.

As much as I hate to end this endeavor on such a sour note, I have to say out of the dozens of games I've played where you can build stuff, this is the most frustrated and disappointed I've been which is a huge, HUGE shame as LEGO & Fortnite are both brands with their identity based around building stuff.

Kinda regretting the video title now lmao, guess I died trying.
