84Fast travel to Dale. When you arrive, select "Bofur" as your character to mine ore & Tauriel for reaching high locations. After collecting the loot, pause the game, select "View Map", and choose to fast travel to Mirkwood. When the eagle drops you off hold up on the left analog stick, this will this cause your character to fall in to the water. The screen will go black and you will respawn back at Dale and all of the ore will respawn. Repeat this process as many times as desired. This trick allows you to obtain enough loot to forge all the weapons and tools in the game.
Some people are having problems with Sapphire. This location spawns a lot of Sapphire, but it will spawn all of the ore "gold, silver, copper, iron, sapphire, ruby, emerald, diamond, or stone"
