From March 2010 to September 2010, I participated in the beta testing of LEGO Universe. I have compiled the screenshots I have taken during testing for the world to see.

Maelstrom Valley is a dark area of shadow, fire, and cliffs inhabited by the four Maelstrom Dragons.

Although not shown in this video, Maelstrom Valley used to be attached to the main Forbidden Valley map and was changed into the separate Maelstrom Dragon Battle Instance in late beta. Clearly shown in this video is three of the four Maelstrom Dragon models: the original red dragon, the silver dragon, and the final black-purple dragon. Not shown in this video is the invisible dragon, which was almost entirely invisible except for small parts of its anatomy such as its teeth. You can briefly see one of Johnny Thunder's treasure chests and a Forbidden Valley flag in this video; they was later moved outside the valley. The troll that players build from the Maelstrom Dragons' armor formerly had the role of restraining the dragon; in the final game, it distracts the dragon instead. Also, during beta testing, the music that played in the Dragon Den was INCREDIBLY EPIC, perhaps even more epic than Brig Rock's beta music. Unfortunately, the final game replaced this epic music with a reprise of Maelstrom Trench's music.

Music is "Battle of Orochi I" and "Battle of Orochi II" by Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Hiroyuki Hamada, Rei Kondo, and Akari Groves from "Okami". These two songs play in the battle against the eight-headed serpent Orochi, who has many dragon-like qualities, so therefore I felt that they were quite fitting for this video.
