Lei-Fei "around the world" throw glitch in Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary! \\ PS2 #24b

Playing the "evil" Shaolin monk Lei-Fei through the Evolution route of Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary on PS2 (this is the version on the Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, North American version disc, under "Options - Special"), and going against the CPU playing Lei-Fei, I ran into this weird animation glitch that seems to be a bug, although I haven't managed to get it to happen again.

As the yellow-robed Lei-Fei, I'm performing the "Haishin Chugeki" attack (Down + P + K, P) on the CPU Lei-Fei, who, hit by the first part of it, then tries to do the "Toushin Soukasui" (G + P from behind) throw on me while my back is turned in mid-motion. But, after starting the grab, he suddenly flits off-screen behind me, only to re-appear immediately from in front of me, completing the grab from that other side, and performing the throw. ... .. Sooo they just ran around the world to do the throw?? : ooo (In the video, I was so confused I asked "did *I*" just "run around the world"--but it was actually the CPU Lei-Fei, not my Lei-Fei, who dashed off the left side of the screen and reappeared on the right.)

I'll get the video posted pretty soon here where I unsuccessfully try getting this to happen again by reproducing these moves. So...some kind of quirk of timing, or AI, or something, I guess!

Recorded at 30fps, unlike most of my videos, to avoid the horrible 60Hz flickering effect that appears in the health bar when fighters take damage. ; P (And I play with a t-shirt draped over the top of the screen to shield my eyes from seeing it. : PP) ; )
