Len'en 4: BPoHC - Kaoru Kashiwagi Unreal AFK
So I went on a quest to AFK every single boss in the game... Until this fucker came around. A lot of experimenting went into this, and eventually the following had to be settled with.
Main: Sese; Sub: Tsubakura. Support: Whatever, I put Suzumi here, even though I actually intended to put Iyozane to test something out. Shion works too though.
Important Skills: Sese's Necropotence (Flashbombs upon hit, only works with Sese as main or sub), Tsubakura's Monochrome Ray -Flash- (Fires a beam straight forward as a flashbomb that does damage) and Black Wings (Changes bomb to cover whole screen, and damages stage 6, Extra stage bosses, as well as bosses in Practice Mode. This also applies to Monochrome Ray -Flash-.) (Both of these only with with Tsubakura as sub.)
Level 4975: Disabled Iyozane's upgrade (Lowers hurtbox size), Tenkai's upgrade (Lowers i-frames from flashbombing) and Lumen's upgrade (Lowers i-frames upon getting hit.) Also disabled Saragimaru's upgrade (Increases the amount of the flashbomb gauge filled up by thrilling.) for something I wanted to try out.
The reason for deactivating those was to get hit more often to fire Monochrome Ray -Flash-es at a faster rate. I also tried to do something with Iyozane's Skill 02 Spirit Body, which makes you invincible for a while after filling the flashbomb gauge, but I accidentally picked Suzumi for support slot. Whoops.
So basically, here's the thing. Kaoru's poison clouds instakill you if you're in them for too long. So basically you want to finish off patterns as quick as possible, so I have to rely on Monochrome Ray -Flash- as well as the random One-Trigger Kills and the slowly-but-steady Clause's upgrade. However, due to the 8 second invincibility each spell gets on Unreal, I'll definitely die to Simoom. Arrow of Hercules is a complete non-issue, Blood of Hydra and Bloody Signal Flare are complete luckshit. But Simoom is too dangerous because the poison fog is way too thick. And here's where a nearly-unused upgrade comes into play: Para's upgrade. At max level, it gives a 20% chance to revive from a Game Over. HP is kept at basically 1, but it restores a full barrier. With Ardey's upgrade, this chance is augmented to 30%.
So not only do I have to actively rely on getting hit a lot (easier said than done when many bullets don't even make an effort to hit me when I'm playing on fucking Unreal), but I also have to rely on even more luck than the AbEx AFK clear run had to rely on.
All in all, this took 97 attempts of figuring out and getting lucky on. (And I swear, it felt like A LOT more.)
