Len'en 3: RMI - Normal Scoring 415,640,266 (Tsubakura) (Current Normal and Overall WR)
So way back in January, I found out how many points you could get from Iyozane's 3rd non. I was like, wow, this is basically scoring for beginners. Then I found out about the safespot on 3rd spell. More score? Sure. Then Diamenciory found out about the memespot on the final, and this is just silly. So I decided to score this game on Normal for the memes. Pretty sure this is an overall WR for now too. If someone can No Miss Hard or Unreal as Tsubakura to do this, be my guest and take said WR from my hands.
So the gist of scoring this game is: Get No Miss. Each life is worth 10 million points at the end. Well, actually more. You see, JynX has a massive gigabrain when he saw there were two characters in a team. So what did he do? He made it so the life bonuses and the clear bonuses are doubled. And that's not all! This game has a massive lack of documentation: You know the souls you pick up? Now did you know that for each 200 souls you have, a multiplier of x0.01 is added to all bonuses, such as Spell Card Bonuses, life bonuses and clear bonuses? Yeah. That's even another reason to No Miss and to bomb as little as possible: Captured boss patterns drop 75 souls, while dying, bombing or timing them out makes them drop 25 instead. A loss of 50 is really big, considering that's a quarter of 200. This also has an impact on Shion's fight - You need to speedkill this entire boss fight as fast as you can, due to the quickly draining souls. (And despite you not losing lives anymore, dying still costs a whole 300 souls.) In fact, I could have finished this run with 4000+ souls due to that bomb on their 3rd non that cost me 50 souls, plus the few souls that were wasted on the duration of the bomb. The only patterns you really want to drop 25 souls on are those patterns from Iyozane I mentioned earlier.
Other notable spots for scoring this are Sese's opener (I once was able to get 5 graze per wave, but never managed to replicate it), Tsugumi's 2nd non and 2nd spell. (Provided you don't get fucked over for 60 seconds straight.) On Fumikado's 4th spell, don't bother going after the shadows. You have a piercing laser that can finish this spell off faster than any other shot, which gives a higher Spell Card Bonus on its own, but it also allows for more bullets on screen coming from the shadows, which gives a much bigger cancel.
Honestly, this run is basically your regular No Miss survival run aside from milking those 6 patterns. Again, if you can No Miss Hard or Unreal as Tsubakura while being able to speedkill almost everything, be my guest.
Overall, shoutouts to Diamenciory (Who also holds the Easy WR in EE and RMI) for finding a shitton of memespots that are able to make this run as (near-)optimized as possible.
