The Lenovo X130e is rugged and Design for Education, with stronger keyboard, cover, corners, bezel, hinges, and ports, additionally, the corners are 33% stronger than the previous generation. MILITARY SPEC TESTING We've completed full Military specification testing on the X130e as a measure of durability. The Lenovo X130e is powered by AMD Fusion E300 & E450 processor, with up to 8Gb of Ram, which is estimated to give 8.5 hour battery life with a 6-cell battery, though in our use we got about 7 hours. It has an 11.6 inch LED HD display for a crisp, clear viewing experience and weighs just 3.9lbs. Bluetooth, WLAN, WANN and Ethernet provide connectivity, with storage capacity is up to 500GB, plus it does have VGA and HDMI ports.

Complied with tools for today's digital Learning Environment . Multimedia capabilities for social media and collaborative learning. It also comes with Lenovo's Peace of Mind & Security -- TPM security, Intel Anti-theft, and Lenovo Hard Disk Drive Retention. Intel Anti-Theft Technology can be used to remotely located a system through 3G networks and deliver an encrypted SMS message to deactivate/reactive your system in minutes. Intel Identity Protection Technology creates a secure place with hardware-based authentication through Intel's Manageability Engine.  With Lenovo's Hard Disk Drive Retention program, if a hard drive fails under warranty, Lenovo replaces the hard drive, but lets the customer hold onto their old drive and their data. Customers can then decide how they want to dispose of the data themselves. Which is pretty neat if you ask me.

Conclusion

The Lenovo X130e is as durable as they claim, Battery life was stellar at 7hrs with constant use. Its durable, sturdy and quite easy to use. That is something to be expected from the ThinkPad line from Lenovo. In all I recommend the ThinkPad X130e, it's a great buy and very useful notebook
