I finally figured out a Nuzlocke ruleset for Lethal Company, and I think it's more fun than the Ironman challenge!

I first thought of a Lethal Company Nuzlocke during the initial brainstorm that brought about the ironman challenge, but at the time I found it difficult to come up with a ruleset that made sense. The fact that people are okay with playing without items and are also okay with landing on the same moon over and over again made it difficult to add any meaningful weight to the non-meta items and moons in a Nuzlocke context.

BUT after playing the game and talking with the Lethal Company community for weeks straight, I FINALLY thought of way to make a Nuzlocke work, and that's why this video exists now.

This video took me a LOT longer to edit than I thought, especially the video essay intro explaining the challenges of coming up with the Nuzlocke while going over the ruleset, so much so that I ended up falling asleep mid-edit which is why this is going up now rather than a few hours ago, lol.

But I wanted to get it out there because I'm a big big fan of Nuzlockes and to be able to play one in the game that's brought me here today would be a great great honor (for the company).

I have some difficulty modifiers in mind for future Nuzlocke runs, much in a similar vein to the difficulty modifiers I've been and will be applying to the Ironman challenge, and to be honest I'm more excited to do these ones than the Ironman ones. The Nuzlocke might be easier honestly, but there's a LOT more room for storyline and I like that a lot!

In fact I like it SO MUCH, that I intend to cover my Nuzlocke runs in the storytelling format that made Nuzlockes big in the first place. I will likely cover this run still too despite uploading the gameplay of it, because it'll be a fun way to either re-experience the journey after this upload, or experience it for the first time for those who "don't want to watch alladat".

But yeah, I'm hoping the community likes this format as much as Larry and I do, and I hope to see some Nuzlockes going up in the near future!
