I've finally killed that Black Dragon for Lord Axer. Hopefully he showers me with gifts in addition to what the dragon had. The quest he gives me afterwards though... Think I'll have to pass on that one entirely.

But what I DO want to do is find out what I can do with these dragon scales. What this game does with dragonhide armor I have no idea. I always thought that that the scales should provide some resistance to what the dragon was immune to, in this case acid. Not a whole lot, just a few points depending on the armor type and age of the dragon. Think about it making armor out of the scales of something immune to acid. There will be some gaps in the armor so let's say it reduced acid damage by 5. This all makes sense to me.

But checking that again it doesn't seem to do that in the core rules. I've always treated it the first way.

That's a bit disappointing. Either way it'll still be of masterwork quality (All Dragonhide armor is Masterwork), and possibly look really awesome. It'd be perfect for a druid but I'm guessing my Bard or Ranger will appreciate it too.
